The Kauai Marathon was held Sunday September 4 with over 1700 runners from 47 states and 13 countries. The day was full of sunshine and happy faces both running and walking the full or half marathons. Winding their way through lush rain forests to the dry flat lands of sunny Poipu Beach they were entertained by hula dancers the Taiko drummers of Waimea and many others. It was definitely the best thing to do in Kauai.
The annual Kauai County Farm Fair is the biggest four day event on the Garden Isle. It is a salute to sustainable agriculture and the many men and women who bring great food to our tables.
Patrick and Stephanie from Honolulu chose Kauai for their wedding because it is the ideal romantic getaway. They stayed in our Ocean Suite for 5 nights and we are so happy that they included us in their ceremony here at Mahaulepu.
A day in the sun at Kealia Beach on our eastern shore of Kauai. While the ocean was rough it offered great photo ops and people watching.
The stand up paddleboarders were captured returning upstream from Kealia Stream. Kealia beach is a stop along the Ke Ala Hele Makalae multi use path.
This great Kauai activity is located about 30 minutes by car from our romantic getaway.
